WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE

Worcestershire sauce: translation

a sauce made with vinegar, molasses, chilli peppers, soy sauce, corn syyrup, black pepper, tamarinds, onions, shallots, cloves, asafoetida and garlic and, the ichthyological ingredient, anchovies. Used on many dishes, particularly beef, but also an ingredient of Caesar salad and Bloody Marys. This is the trade name, cf. Worcester sauce
